Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These terms govern use of TrendK (the “Service”, at the domain trendk.kr), setting out the conditions, procedures, and responsibilities for using the Service.

2. Service overview

• The Service aggregates trending content in Korea — news, YouTube, music, movies, shopping, books, communities, games, OTT, app store, FX, crypto, real estate, hot places and more — using public external APIs and RSS feeds, and presents them as a dashboard.
• Update cadences range from 5 minutes to 1 day per category; each card shows its capture timestamp.
• The Service is free and does not require sign-up or login.

3. Data sources and copyright

• Source data (titles, thumbnails, links, etc.) remains subject to the copyright and terms of service of the respective providers — e.g. Google Trends, YouTube, Naver, Upbit, TMDB, Netflix, Apple, Steam, KOFIC, Korea Open Data Portal, Aladin, Frankfurter.
• The Service only displays metadata obtained via official public APIs or RSS. It does not re-host original articles, videos, or images.
• All items link directly to the source. Detailed content-use terms are governed by each provider's terms.

4. User obligations

You may not:

• Impair service quality via excessive automated requests (crawlers, scraping bots, etc.)
• Redistribute or re-sell aggregated results for commercial purposes without prior consent
• Bypass technical safeguards or attempt unauthorized access
• Use Service data to spread misinformation or infringe on others' rights

5. Service availability

The Service depends heavily on third-party APIs. Providers' policy changes, API deprecations, or pricing changes may interrupt or replace data in specific categories. We will give notice when practical, but you acknowledge that temporary outages due to technical conditions can occur without notice.

6. Disclaimer

• The Service aggregates external API responses as-is and does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.
• We are not responsible for inconsistencies caused by errors, delays, or omissions in external APIs.
• You bear sole responsibility for decisions — investment, purchase, real estate, etc. — made based on Service data.
• We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of linked external sites.

7. Advertising

We may display advertising to cover operating costs. Responsibility for advertiser content and products rests with the advertiser; we are not a party to transactions between users and advertisers.

8. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms in response to changes in law or operating policy. Amendments, with effective date, will be posted on this page in advance. Material changes will be announced at least 7 days ahead.

9. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will be heard by the court having jurisdiction over the user's address as the court of first instance.
